thanks, I just emailed them. Im curious as to how much they want for an adoption donation. They say it isnt cheap which makes we wonder then what is the difference if I go to a breeder and "pay" for a puppy or rescue /adopt one - which really isnt adopting. ? either way it wouldnt stop me from getting one but I found it strange.

I agree, why not just for sale..because it does seem like them would cost a lot to rescue and adopt to me does not mean all those costs listed...

I thought the same thing. Who would pay around $500 to adopt a puppy as opposed to buying from a breeder where you can see the parents, etc.
But, I guess they are trying to cover their costs also.

Bascially, they are trying to cover the costs of rescuing the purebreed from a puppy mill(transport, vetting, routine shots and in some cases the altering). If you buy one from a breeder, you have to vet the dog, vaccinate and fix the dog. In the end, it comes out the same. Plus, the money the rescue gets goes to rescue other purebreeds from puppy mills.
