5 weeks pregnant Question
Hello, everyone, I am a new member of the site. I just found out that I am five weeks pregnant. I was wondering if any of you could tell me whether this is normal. I have been having some abdominal cramping, very similar to if I was going to get my period. Has anyone else experienced this? I have a doctor's appointment, they told me to wait until 9/14 so I just wanted to find out in the meantime if this is expected. Thank you!!!

congratulations yes some people o get tht in the beginning I did and it made me nervous but its nothing if you want ust call the doc office anyways and tell them what you are feeling just to put you at ease. good luck with you pg

1st Congrats!!
I also am 5wks pg and dealing with the same cramping. Not as often as i was a wk ago but its there and it switches sides on me at times. Sounds pretty normal.
GL and a happy and healthy 9 months...oops I mean 8!

Thank you so much, everyone! I thought it was weird that my dr. said not to come until I am 8 weeks, they said they can't hear the heartbeat or see a sono yet. I am nervous, hope baby is ok, this is my first time. It helps to know that the cramping is normal!

Yes, in the beginning I had intense cramping... mostly at 3AM It's just your uterus slowly expanding.

Very very normal. I had it and still do at tmes. But as long as it doesnt make u fall over or make u feel like u cant function its ok. My cramping has subsided a little bit. But like 1 week 1/2 ago i got that bad at night.
And my first doc appt is sept. 15th where i will be 8 weeks. its normal for the doc to see u then if u are not high risk.

yes its totally normall. I actually felt that type of cramping for pretty much my entire pregnancy. Welcome to the world of your body doing things its never done before LOL

You can say that again!! I already feel like another person - I'm not sure how much of that is just in my head but I definitely feel things I have never felt before..
