Spinoff to daycare posting- P/T care (tutor time?)

My Girlfriend told me that Tutor time doesn't allow babies to go part time until they are 18 mos. Is this true? Does anyone have a chidl enrolled part time that started when they were less than 18 mos and if so which tutor time location was it? thanks

Generally- since there is very few spots for infants (due to low ratios) a center usually will not "fill up" a spot w/ a half time child (Why take someone at half day price- when you could a have a FT paying baby?)

However if the centers enrollment is low enough- a director may except it- just to have the enrollment...

We just took on a 1 day/week child- because we need the enrollment- but 2 weeks from now- if someone came in looking for that same thing (and our enrollment had gone up) that person wouldnt be able to do it!

Corp. or franchise- the director (or owner) can do these things at thier discretion but again- its really pending on enrollment...

Peyton goes to Tutor Time 3 days a week - is that considered PT? She's been there since 3 months old.

I think as long as they have the space and you use them the same exact days, they take them.

Andrew has been going PT since he was 11 months old to Tutor Time.

Edited to add: we pay PT rates there

that's exactly what we'd be looking for so I'm glad to know that it's possible. Whether or not they'll allow it we'll see.Chat Icon

I'm not sure what kind of hours you need. I bring my girls 3 days a week from 6:45 - 3:45. Depending on the times you need are probably going to come into account.

I went to the Tutor time by the Ronkonkoma train station - For 3 days a week they wanted full time rates.
It was somewhere around 1300/month.

Another daycare that my DD was in got 1100/month for 2 days.

I think for TT where I go it's something like $780 for 3 days (don't quote me) but I also pay for early drop off.

I'd also like to know which TT does part time.

I went to the one in Levittown (Hempstead tpke) and for three days a week they wanted the full time rate.

I just checked my file and I do in fact pay $780 per month and this is with early drop off for 3 days a week. My girls go Tues - Thurs. They go to a TT in Suffolk.
