Spinoff to Flying with Baby

Has anyone flown recently with the newer regs? I know they will screen the bottle of formula, but do they allow baby food jars, desitin, baby lotion??? I might have to hit a CVS or something when I get to Chicago....

I just came back from FL last Friday. I left when the new regs weren't in place but came back when they were. Anyway, they allowed baby formula (they did NOT make me sip it) but no creams (I put that stuff in my checked in luggage) and NO baby food jars. They took the sealed baby food containes I had away from me at the security check point b/c they have liquid in them and are jelly like. They claimed that the airlines were telling them that they would have jars of baby food on the plane, but Delta didn't. Also, they took away my ice pack that I had in my little cooler to keep his formula cool. So don't bring that either.
It's possible that things could have changed since last Friday so I would just call the airline.

ETA: Try to wear sneakers with socks. They make EVERYONE take off their shoes nows. I wore flip flops and was so grossed out having to walk barefoot on their carpet.

I heard they are now alllowing jars of baby food.

i left florida the Saturday after the new regs came out and I didnt have to taste the formula AND they let me on with her creams and jarred food. I guess it depends on the airport.
