Received letter about how much my Ins would cover for IVf I have a question about it and one other thing please advise

The letter said that I am responsible for I don't remember the exact amount buy I think it was like $2,500. I don't know if that is good or bad.

One other question I have an appointment this week for trial of transfer history/physical exam what can I expect from this visit. This would by 2nd visit on my way to start IVF.

Thanks guys.

Considering that an IVF can cost about oh 12K (speaking from experience) having to pay only $2,500 out of pocket is WONDERFUL. AMAZING. EXCELLENT.

Is that a lifetime total or per procedure?

I wish I had the letter in front of me. I believe its for one set procedure. I'll double check when I get home. I really wasn't to sure how to react. I was almost in tears 'cause its still alot of money. They want it in full next visit certified check. I can't imagine not having ins that would cover this. Its so sad. Pluse I'm getting laid off soon I hope my ins will hang around.

I am sending out a payment today of $6,330 - for my first IVF. I just went through a second one -- will have to pay more, and sooner....

That's great coverage!

I don't know about your 2nd question because my RE doesn't do the trial transfers.

The trial of tansfer is painless - its basically a catheder inserted to the uterus to see where they will transfer to
Two minuts - or less - no worse than an IUI, if you've had them, otherwise, no worse than a sono

Good luck - what RE are you using?

WOW....$2500 is AMAZING!

My Clinic charges over $19,000 for the entire IVF cycle.

I got the NYS grant for patients in need and still paid over $7000 for this cycle.

Like somone mentioned, the physical isisnt really a physical...just a regular appointment and the trial transfer takes maybe 1 minute tops, you feel nothing.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!
