How many months before did you order your baby's crib/furniture?
Just wondering now - when should I order my baby's furniture. I am due mid - February 06'.
Does the furniture usually take 8 - 12 weeks to deliver?
Gives me something to think about....

As soon as we find out the sex, everything is getting done...So I'd say 3-4 months before

It depends on where you are getting the furniture from - We orderd mine from babiesrus and they had the cribs in stock - If it wasn't it would have taken a week - but I've heard other places take a long time to get the furniture in.

the brand we were going to go with is 8-12 weeks but we switched and now its 8-10 it depends on the brand but I would start looking after you know what your having.

I ordered mine at the very end of June and was told it could possibly take til the end of October (which put me past my due date...something to do with country's going on a holiday for a month and not producing that whole month...???) However the crib and dresser arrived in August (so it took like 6 weeks..) Im just waiting for the hutch...and I have no idea when its getting here...

Did you order a Morigeau Lepine????? My daughter has one and I love it - got one for my son too!!!!!
I ordered mine about a month ago and it'll probably be here in late October/early November. Behr's said to lie about my due date b/c Morigeau goes on holiday for a month.

I ordered mine from JCPenney and it took about 2 weeks for it to come in bc they had it in the warehouse.

No I think mines made by Legacy...
The important stuff like the crib and dresser are here... just waiting on the hutch to make it all complete!

I just ordered our crib by Legacy. It won't be here till late November!!!!
Thankfully they sleep in the bassinet for a bit.

Exactly... I wanted the nursery all set-up but if he arrived and the furniture came after if was no big deal....
I think they over estimate though...because I almost died when they called to say everything was in

Knowing me, as soon as I find out the sex I'll be at the store getting furniture! I already know what I like for each sex, its just a matter of finding out and then buying it. So since you can find out the sex at your 20 wk sono, I guess it will be then.
My best friend worksin my OBGYNs office so maybe she can sneak me in earlier LOL

I ordered mine at about 20 weeks. I believe mine did take about 7-8 weeks to come in. They were nice and held it for me until I was ready with the nursery at around 32 weeks.
My glider I ordered last minute and they told me 8-12 weeks and said it can really take that long so I was prepared to not have it in time but it came in about 4 weeks.
