Is this a bad idea?
Ok, usually Ava sleeps from like 7:30pm until about 6-6:30am. Which is great. No complaints there. Jt is starting his new shift this week working 4pm-midnight, and I really do not want him to have to wake up at 6:30 to feed the baby (I am just about getting ready to leave the house at that point, so I can't feed her that late in the morning). So this morning, I tried feeding her in her sleep at like 5:45am and she is still sleeping now. Is that a bad habit to start, or should I do it if it works? I just want him to be able to get some extra sleep in the mornings.

Re: Is this a bad idea?
I know how you feel. I feed Brianna at midnight in her sleep so she will make it till like 9 ish because my DH gets home at 2:30am so if she gets up before that like 5 -6 sometimes Im still there but after 7ish Im gone. I would do what you have to do is it causing a bad habit probably in my opinion but Im guilty too. Could he just get a nap when Ava takes one? My DH wont nap so thats out of the question for us...

Re: Is this a bad idea?
See, here's the thing, it's partially his own fault because if you feed her in the dark when she wakes up around 6-6:30-ish, and don't talk to her, she will go right back to sleep, but he won't do that. He brings her into the livingroom, turns on the lights and tv, etc. OF COURSE she's going ot be up, then. He just won't listen to me. THen he complains that he's tired. He does nap when she does, though. He will let her sleep on his chest in the mornings because she'll take a 2 hour nap, then. I just don't want her getting used to needing a bottle at 5:45 in the morning when she can usually go at least an hour or two past that. I guess I should just let JT figure out on his own that he needs to feed her in the dark.
