Re: Teachers - how do you get organized???

I use hanging file folders. It really works for my papers. I have Sept- June for stuff that doesnt really fit anywhere else and for holiday stuff. I then have file folders for math, and then broken down by concepts. Such as multiplication and so on and the same for SS, science, and Lang Arts. I also have binders for stuff in Lang Arts such as reading and writing lessons and organized by unit, poetry, nonfiction and so on
Hope this helps! Good luck organizing!Chat Icon

I teach high school and I have everything in binders with plastic covers. I must have about 40 as I teach four separate coursesChat Icon (ridiculus amount of preps in my district). Depending upon the course (I teach history and economics) I have about 7 to 10 binders per course. I found it took a lot of time this year to change over to this system and it was a bit expensive even though I bought most of it at BJ's (probably $200) but everything is in linear order for each course. I think it looks much neater on the bookshelf. Each cover has the contents of the binder printed on it with the course name.

That's what I'm saying!

I was going to organize this summer - but I have a feeling I'm changing grades - so I don't know what I'm going to do with the 5th grade stuff I've accumulated this year Chat Icon

I might just toss most of the paper and just store everything I made on my jump drive.
