Re: Good brush to blow hair straight?

I am the Queen of blowdrying my hair straight (its ridiculous) and I swear by a big round ceramic brush. I bought a Chi one @ the place I get my hair done.
I also bought one @ Bed bath & beyond that has a bigger diameter.

I use a paddle brush to pull out the roots with the blower and then use the ceramic brush from roots until end.
They get really hot but cut my drying time in 1/2.
Be careful - they get REALLY hot.

I have one similiar to this but thicker.

Metal round - though I haven't tried a ceramic yet.

I was told by my hairdresser that the metal round will actually fry your hair since metal is a conductor. It will cut down your drying time but used consistently, your hair will be fried. She recommended the ceramic with boar bristles (not synthetic - that'll make your hair frizzy).

I use to different kinds of metal ones, but I want to switch to plastic or wood. I notice that is what hair dressers always use.

Re: Good brush to blow hair straight?

I use a round brush and a smaller metal round brush to blow out my hair in the front.

The metal brushes are especially good because they conduct heat to your hair and allows your hair to straighten quicker.

A flat paddle brush with natural bristles works best on my hair.

Do you find that they burn your hair or damage your hair faster?
