selling old college books

I have alot of books that I either want to sell or donate. I don't think I can even sell half of these being that they're old editions??? I saw one on ebay going for $40 used but it's a MUCH newer edition. Any place I can bring them to to sell? If not, donate?

I always got good money selling mine on Amazon.com
More then E-bay or those college websites where you can sell your books....

Do you think old books even sell though? These are all from like 14-15 years ago. Chat Icon

I was thinking about donating my old college books to my public library...they are so old that I dont think that anybody will actually buy them!

Depends on the subject. I was using older editions of books for math, science and engineering because the newer editions really didn't change much and professors didn't care, as long as you got the correct problem sets. In a management class, the book was out of print and the bookstore could only get a certain # of used copies, so many people actually had to buy them online. I have also bought older books as references if they weren't too expensive.

I have also sold on Amazon - it's free to list it, so give it try and see if it sells.

It depends on what they are. Do you have a list? If they're math/science, FH may be interested and if they're literature or arts I may be interested. We're big nerds who read textbooks for fun.

Re: selling old college books

Give them away on freecycle.org

Selling books that old are nearly impossible....I had a bunch and ended up giving them away
