When you clean the house...
Do you have music on?
I guess b/c I grew up with my mom blasting music while she cleaned I do it also now.
I notice I clean faster and better with music on. But when I put TV for background noice I wind up sitting down to watch it

I always clean with the music on and blasting, DH usually catches me singing and dancing though

Yep! I also got that from mom. When I was little, every Saturday morning either Air Supply, Neil Diamond or Kenny Rogers could be heard through the streets over the vacuum.
Im like Red though...I usually dont notice its even on until I shut it off.

I have to laugh at this , mainly because growing up I can SPECIFICALLY remember my mom playing THESE 3 ARISTS on our stereo when she did her "saturday cleaning"
Especially Kenny Rogers, my mom was the biggest Kenny fan ever (probably why I like him a little bit too )

Saturday cleaning with my mother was always Showtunes...funny girl, gypsy...I think that is why I need a beer to clean now.

Sometimes.
I just realized that's why my mom always had Elvis records playing... I'd dance on the step of the sunken livingroom (my little stage) and keep myself entertained and mom was cleaning the house

Yeah- I put on a CD than tell myself that I have to be done with a certain room (or rooms, depending on how much has to be done) by the time the CD ends. It helps me keep moving. I am such a slackazz housekeeper. Any little thing helps.
