Old Wives Tales
Isn't there some old wives tale that if you're carrying low, it's one sex, high, it's another? I forgot which is which.
It might be fun to share our "old wives tales" anyhow.
So far I've done all the online survey ones, they always give me about a 50/50 answer, I've done the needle on a string and got boy the first time, girl the second time, MONTHS later, and I did the chinese lunar calander and it always says boy.
What old wives tales do you know of? Which have you done, and were they accurate?

I've really only heard the one - if your carrying all in the front like a basketball - boy
It your carrying all over - girl - Also something about the moms face changes, nose gets wider - something to that effect.

I've also heard if the mom develops more facial hair or hair in new places it's a boy
and there's also one about cravings I heard too, not sure goes something like if you crave meat it's a boy, veggies it's a girl..something like that.

When I was PG with my son I had a huge basketball belly and it was really low. The one thing I do remember that was said to be a girl, but didn't happen was that during my PG I only had to shave once a month!!! It was great! But then again, everything that was suppose to be normal, or towards a boy I was the opposite!

I heard of one wives tale that if you have another child, you look at their hairline in the back of the neck, and if the hair comes to a point, the next baby will be a boy, if it goes straight across,it'll be a girl.
Also,if you have a lot of heartburn, the baby will have a lot of hair,which i can tell you isnt true bc i had it BAD and my son is still bald!
also if you crave sweets,they say it'll be a girl, as oppose to salty foods=boy!

I carried everywhere last time and I had a boy. So - I don't believe in the old wives tales at all! Now, I'm carrying all in the front, so I guess its half right!

my best friend got big all over with her and with her boy she was all belly.
Right now, I *think* I'm all belly...I don't see a difference in anything else and I'm having a girl.
Chinese lunar calender: one said boy, one said girl (yes, I've seen 2 versions)
