Sharp pain in the abdominal area
I am a little bit over 22 weeks and I have this very sharp pain in the abdominal area. It is very uncomfortable when I get up from bed or a chair. I've had this for 2 days now and I am waiting for the doctor to call me. It feels like a bladder infection but I don't think it is because I don't have any symptons, just sharp pain. I have been feeling my baby kick and move which is a good sign. I am just a little worried because I am not sure if this is normal or not. Thanks!!!

I get that from time to time, and my dr told me it's round ligament pain, especially when you get up from a sitting position.
Do you feel it going down your abdominal to your groin area?
ETS-ROund ligament pain is very very normal

your welcome! It hurts so bad, I know. Sometimes the pain brings me down to my knees!

I had this starting on Friday and by Sat afternoon it was pretty bad - hurting all the time, not just when I got up or down.
Turns out I was dehydrated, I thought I was drinking enough but I wasnt. I drank a TON of water and juice and by Sunday night I felt much better.

The exact thing happened to me. It all started Friday and Saturday it was really really bad. It's getting a little bit better now. I should drink alot of water. I just hope that I feel better soon. I don't like the way this pain feels.

I had the same thing in the beginning-middle of my 2nd trimester. My doctor said it was just growing pains. Your uterus is expanding and adjusting to holding the baby! It will be OK. If I get up too fast I still get it.
