After trying to figure everything out..
my shower was today
I was totally shocked....my friend came over and we just lounged around...we ran some errands and in the middle of shopping my mom called me and said she needed me to pick her up...cuz she was dropping her truck off at the shop...
Well when I got to my moms house to drop her off everyone was there...
The house looked beautiful and I got sooooo many presents....
Of course there was one small problem... my MIL (i know those of you who follow my stories are shocked right??? lol)
I could feel the hostility in the house when I arrived... and shortly after kissing everyone hello she approached me and said she wasnt feeling well.. and she was leaving
I knew something had happened..and she wasnt really sick... because all I did was overhear her complaining and telling everyone "im leaving and I dont care who knows it!!!"
My friends co-workers and family all approached me many a times to tell me who rude my MIL was...
Shortly after she left her friends and family left one by one...Without saying goodbye, eating, getting a favor or anything!!!
I come to find out at the end of the shower...when she arrived at my mothers house an hour before the guests were to arrive...my mom was not up to par with how she felt things she be done...so she took over giving order immediately.. Making my mom and the friends and family who were helping feel like sh!t!!! And my dad saw all this and snapped at her...and well there ya go!!
Now the whole family is fighting...and on my special day I was left in tears...most importantly my poor mom feels like a failure and I just feel so bad for her...
I have no pics...for my friend who got me to leave my house couldnt find my digital camera...once the reg photos get printed up,,, ill scan them!!
I got sooooooooo many presents... and those who stayed were a blast!!!!

Glad you were suprised. Sorry that your MIL felt the need to attempt to ruin your day. Can't wait to see the photos!!

AWww Marissa,
I'm SO sorry that this happened. I honestly would let it go....help your mom to feel better. Your MIL is obviously a self centered witch with a big broom.
Try to get past it and enjoy knowing how generous YOUR friends and family were!

I am so glad you were surprised and had a good time. Family drama is such a pain in the *** sometimes. My sister keeps warning me that it's already happening for my shower, but won't tell me how.
I'm so glad everything was nice though in the end.
