Disturbing Dream

DH and I don't have any kids yet, but last night I had a dream we had a little girl who was about 2 and she was running around the house bare foot. She came up to me and pointed to her foot, it looked like she had a splinter so I got the tweezers and pulled it out, it was a scorpion stinger. I got the poison out by sucking on the wound and called 911. They told me they couldn't help her until 7:30 pm (which would have been hours) so I tried dialing her PCP's number and all off the sudden I started to get dizzy (I swallowed some of the poison) so I hung up and used the automatic dial to call my mom, I told her to get there right away and then I fell to the ground. My daughter was fine, but then a snake appeared and was slithering towards her, I rolled over and grabbed it by the tail before it got to her and then it bit me. As I was passing out again, the snake said "You think you can save her, you'll be passed out and I create enough venom to get her" I grabbed her and started running, but I was really dizzy, I made it out of the house and then passed out again. Somehow I got to the hospital.

Then I woke up. I know it was just a dream, but it really bothered me, where would it come from? I wish I had one of those dream books, although I'm sure snakes and scorpions can't be good.

Wow. That's pretty crazy!! I'd probably be a little weirded out too.

I sometimes dream about the strangest things too - maybe it was just something you saw and didn't even notice - like something while you were channel surfing on TV and you didn't even stop on it, but it was there.

I guess so, it just bothered me that something was trying to harm my child. Funny thing is DH had a dream that I was PG last night and everyone thought it was going to be a girl, but I gave birth to a boy. At least his dream was a happy one !
