why do stores sell next seasons clothes sooo early?

I went to Old navy and Marshalls AND Ann Taylor Loft..all they had was courd's, velvet jackets, sweaters..
I just wanted a SKIRT

Does anyone BUY clothes for say Octtober in JULY? Im interested in knowing..

and does anyone know where the heck I can still get some summer clothes?

try kohls or Penney's and online you can find alot of summer stuff.

Retail is ALWAYS a season ahead to keep the customers' miind on buying in advance.....then you end up paying full price when you see it.

thats been my gripe All week!!!!

i went to Tanger yesterday after the shower, and they had some on Gap and J Crew, but even that was limited... i only got one from Gap though b/c i kept seeing what i *thought* were skirts (and looked really cute, But they were gauchos... and those just dont work for me, and the ones at J Crew were either way too short, or made me look like an Old school marm... there wasnt much in between.

ohhhhh Ann Taylor in Roosevelt Field had a decent amount on clearance this weekend.

I always see this...Already getting back to school on the Bed Bath and Beyond mailers and Victorias secrets end of the summer sale.

Most kids start going away to college in August so i guess they are getting a jump start...
