they told me on my last car I needed a new battery - even hooked up some thingy to it and said "look it has almost now power left"
I drove the car with the same battery for three more years. never replaced it

Never once had a problem w/ Jiffy Lube. I have been going there for a good 9 years. All I go there for is an oil change and when they try and sell me something stupid, all ya gotta say is "no thanks" and thats the end of it.
Its very convenient for me since they add any necessary fluids that the car needs, add air to my tires, and sometimes vacuum my car. And usually in and out within 15 minutes. And most important, I always have my coupon. LOL

my sister's exboyfriend use to work there - he told me to never bring my car in there if he wasnt there.... now that's bad.
i never go anywhere but my mechanic he does everything on the car

FYI: Most (not all) of them use generic oil filters and do what's necessary to make them fit. There is a great possibility (and yes I've seen with my own eyes) these generic filters that weren't properly fitted that caused oil to overflow on the engine. Your warranty will not cover this and you'll end up paying out of pocket and possibly voiding your warranty.

In So Cal the news has had numerous stories from undercover stings as to all the scams and rip offs that occur there.It's amazing how people are getting scammed and ripped off. Most people aren't even getting any work done at all

My sister many years ago took her car to jiffy lube and they "accidently" put a hole where the oil goes.
When I had my last car, I took it to jiffy lube for an oil change.... two weeks later (and 2 months before my car was paid off), the engine seized for not having any oil in it.
I would NEVER take my car there

I can't play the video. What's it about? I'm curious b/c I went to Jiffy Lube for the first time in August. I usually go to my mechanic but was going on vacation and needed service quick
I just got an oil change but they recommended some other bs service. When I left I knew I wouldn't be back.

I went there for an oil change years ago and they said I need my filter replaced...I said ok  and they charged me like $50!!!! DH said it's like $10 and he could have done it.

When I had used cars (and not a lot of money) I went to them all the time too. One in Bethpage and one in Baldwin.
They would always try to sell me something too, and I would always say "Next time, thanks."
When I got my new car, I went to them for the first oil change. Mistake!
They didn't reattach a throttle hose or turbo hose or something. And it came off later that day as I was trying to merge onto Wantagh Parkway south from Sunrise Highway. Anyone who's done this entrance ramp knows how dangerous it is. You have to make a full stop and there is a blind curve that you can't see past. So you really have to accelerate hard to get into traffic and avoid being rearended!
Thank God I was able to get off the road and no one hit me. We sat there for almost 2 hours waiting for the tow. Towed us to the dealership, they fixed the car the next morning. They could have charged me since it was Jiffy Lube's fault but they didn't.
I get all my oil changes at the dealer now.

We used to go to Jiffy Lube and realized something was wrong. We'd get charged like $30 (I believe) for an oil change, to to Walmart and get charged 18.95
Also I NEVER stayed in the waiting room @ Jiffy Lube. The tech ALWAYS wanted you to come into the garage cuz there was a problem
Just a complete rip off.
