First internal and TMI
Yesterday I had my first internal and I'm almos 3 cm dilated  and my cervix is getting soft.
Today I'm having a mucusy and pinkish discharge... so I have no idea if it's my mucus plug or if I'm having it because of my internal yesterday.
I'm getting soo excited and sooo nervous!

Although I never had that( I never dialated)it sounds like your mucuis plug. When is your due date? Congrats. - Shari

I'd definitely say it's a little bit of the mucus plug...the same has been happening to me since my last internal (which was my second) and when I found out I'm 3 cm dilated too!!!
We're almost mommmies!!!!!

It does sound like your mucus plug.
I don't want to burst your bubble but I had my first internal at 37 weeks and then lost my mucus plug or some of it so I thought my labor was right around the corner. Well it wasn't. I was 5 days late.
Your mucus plug can actually regenerate. The next time I started losing it there was a lot more and it was over the course of an entire day.
But I hope that's not the case for you. Lots of people go into labor pretty close to losing there plug but have internals disturbs it and came make it come out.
