is decaf green tea ok?

I'm a big fan of green tea, but I've pretty much stopped drinking caffeine. I went and bought decaf green tea, but I heard someone mention that green tea isn't good to drink when you're pregnant. As long as it's not caffeinated, I don't see what the problem is. Can anyone shed some light?

I am a big decaffeinated tea drinker. I use to drink a few cups of decaffeinated Green Tea ever day (love it) but was told not to because Green Tea is considered Herbal so I will resume drinking when she is born.

My doctor said decaf green tea is fine, just skip the kind with caffeine.

So one person says it's ok, and another says it's not. Anyone else want to advise?

Is one glas of caffeninated green tea ok, if that is the only caffeien I consume throughout the day. I see people still drink regular coffee??

OK, according to this article 300 mg a day of caffeine is OK, so actually regular green tea would be fine, but it is safer to stick with decaf. I'm not sure what Michelle meant about green tea being herbal and therefore no good during pregnancy -- but if you are concerned about caffeine, decaf green tea should be fine. I would say ask your doctor if you're still not sure as there seem to be a lot of opinions on this.
