fun old question?

ok so what kinda crank calls did you do when you where younger? i just got 2 calls back to back and the kid said wait here comes #3 lol , ok the kid keeps saying i think it's jova? ok so what kind did you do?

My friend and I were nuts. We had a whole system to making these calls. We even kept a notebook to keep track of the good ones so we could call back.

We used to make them from my Dad's office when he had to work overtime and brought us with him.

Ironically, he worked for the New York Telephone Co. aka Bell Atlantic aka Verizon

My friend and I both had 3 way calling. We would call each other, and then each call someone, and connect it together. The fun part was that we would call 2 people that knew each other, and after a bunch of hello, who is this, you called me, no, you called me...they would realize that it was a friend, forget how the call originated, and just start talking. And, we would sit there and get all the gossip! THE BEST!!

Ok, we were 13, but it was great!!!

My bestest friend and I made a whole RECORDING - we were "jean marie barnes" selling the NY Times

We RESTARTED the recording anytime someone would say something into the phone - OMG it was hilarious

"Hello?"
"Good day, this is JeanMarie Barnes from the NY Times. Have you read today's headlines?..."
"Not interested"
"Good day, this is JeanMarie Barnes...."



People, ESPECIALLY old people, used to flip outttt

OMG - I posted this exact same things a few weeks back on a similar thread!! My BF and I did the same exact thing!! I didn't know someone else was as devious as me! I knew I liked you for a reason!!

LMAO!! I must have missed that thread!

It proved to be VERY entertaining!! We found out quite a few "secrets"!

We also used to connect people who were known enemies or former friends who had just had a big fight - the awkardness of those calls were extremely entertaining!

we also used to call people and sing the Lion king song (and another indian chant song) to them, while playing the Bongos (aka empty cheese puff containers)

we actually got alot of praise from some of those people. i must admit- we were pretty talented
