Ok, I bought the Dr. Brown bottle and now....

Ok, I bought the Dr. Brown bottle and now....

another question...I went to BRU and the saleswoman (not that informative) told me that they only way to sterilize the bottle is to do it on the stove. Avent has the express sterilizer. Was she right?

I sterilized the nipple when I bought it and then just washed the bottle and the inserts in soapy water. I don't sterilize it every time.

I have a basket that fits into my dishwasher. I take the bottle and the insides apart...then I throw them in the basket and the bottle goes on the top rack.

We sterilized on the stove for awhile, but there are sterilizers you can buy. Honestly though we found the stove the easiest.

I have the Especially for you Microwave Sterilizer and that's what I use for the Dr Brown's bottles. It was 12 bucks at BRU

Oh, there is a sterlizer--I see Stephanie's post-Especially for you sterilizer. I knew that person at BRU was wrong!

I only steralize the nipples once a week and the bottles and the inserts i wash with hot soapy water after every feed.

I wash mine after every feeding with hot soapy water and I throw them in the dishwasher every so often (we still don't run it every day).
