can a baby get shingles?

my friend is on the phone and they told her it might be shilgles? isn't that an adult version of chicken poxs?

I don't think so. It's related to chicken pox, but I think it's a different disease.

I've never known a baby to have it, but apparently there is a "pediatric shingles"

ty , i just ran over to her house to see it, she calls me when everthere is a problem, and it was about 7 "pimplle" looking dots in a circle on his shoulder bald with a few more on his chin... she goes to a peds deramataligist at 11:30.. but i don't think it is, i have seen shingles before and this does not look like it... thanks for the help

I woudn't think that was shingles. Shingles rashes form along nerves from what I've seen.

The baby can get chicken pox from the adult who has shingles. My mom has shingles right now so we have been doing a lot of research about it. You can't technically "catch" shingles but someone who has not has chicken pox can get it from that person. Does this make sense?
