Disability question
Can you collect disability and get maternity leave from your job? Does anyone know what the requirements are? Thanks!

I think it depends on your job. My job only pays for 6 weeks of maternity leave. The other 6 weeks are covered by disability.

my company considers maternity leave as short term disability. The remainder of my time out will be protected by FMLA.

Yes, it does depend on your company and how long you have been with them. Since I've been with my company for a long time I get 4 months disability 100% pay and 3 moths maternity 100% pay.

I am getting 8 weeks fully paid. I am taking another 4 weeks which I think will be unpaid.
