How bad is it to live on grilled cheese?

I can't even stomach the thought of food. I even nibbled on a hamburger yesterday(vegetarian until yesterday). Nothing looks or sounds good.
I am trying to hard to get in 5 fruits and veggies, but it makes me ill just to look at the plate. I feel guilty for not having a variety of foods.

I live on it and FRENCH FRIES TOO !!! The deli by my job that delivers has it as a platter, with the sandwich, cole slaw and fries, I get it at least 2x a week - at least we are getting calcium right ??

I think during the first trimester, it is better to eat what sounds/tastes good then not eat. I lived on hamburgers and milkshakes for a week - healthy, no, but you need to get food in you, and that is the most important thing.

I've been able to do the smoothy thing... for some reason anything cold and blended I can drink.

thanks guys. I agree I definitely need food in me or my stomach is just so full of water and I feel even sicker.

I never realized brushing my teeth would be such a challenge either. Once that brush hits my mouth I instantly go into a gagging reaction.

Eat what you can, what appeals to you. I lived on McDonalds hamburgers and fries for a while...and bagels and toast - lots of carbs. Not the healthiest diet but everything else made me sick.

Just try and make sure you're taking your prenatals and drinking as much water as you can.

I had the worst MS my entire pregnancy and seriously, I lived on Grilled Cheese sandwiches (I'm a vegetarian too) with tomato soup. At least 3-4 times a week!

I've been living on grilled cheese my whole life. I think you're fine as long as you take the vitamins and drink lots of water. Feel better soon!

Grilled cheese and tomato soup are my staples! I mix in a bowl of Apple Jacks everynow and then also.

Just had a grilled cheese for lunch- all I can eat now is cereal, grilled cheese, some fruit and ice cream- pasta too.

It's not too bad at all! I am lived on them 1st trimester! All I could eat the 1st trimester was french fries, grilled cheese, cheese, and cereal. I lived and my comfy baby is big, fat and doing just fine!

at least you are eating something, onec you hit your second trimester you will feel better and eat more healthier.

Like the other ladies have said, when you have morning sickenss eating ANYTHING at all is a challenge, let alone something healthy!

When I was at my 2nd OB appointment crying in my doctor's office that I could not eat a thing and was prob. harming the baby (yes I'm a drama queen ) she assured me that it's less important to 'eat healthy' in the first trimester and more important just to try and eat ANYTHING at all! So if that means grilled cheese for 12 weeks straight, then by all means go for it..

The only things I could remotely stomach up until about week 14 was bagels, mashed potatoes, pasta, and pizza - carb city!!
