Wow, I was gone for a few days....
and now there is a whole new look. Very colorful!!
So its been a pretty much week from he11. I don't think I m going away again any time soon. Everytime I take a vacation something happens. As I mentioned on another thread my stepmother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Yesterday she went in for surgery and they removed the tumor. They think they got it all and are waiting on pathology reports now to determine what kind of cancer it is and how aggresive it is. They said her lymph nodes looked good and now they wait to see what the course of treatment will be.
On Monday we got word that my aunt was dying. She could no longer receive dialysis because it almost caused her to go into cardiac arrest. So she went home, to hospice care and died on Wednesday. She died in what I can say is the way I hope I die one day. She was home, alert, surrounded by her children and peacefully passed. Before she died, she called each of her children in to her room one by one and told them how special they were, how much they meant to her and how much she loved them. I can only hope that when my time comes I will be in such a peaceful and loving environment and have the chance to tell everyone in my life how much they meant to me.
So after a crazy week, DH and I are going out tonight to finally celebrate my birthday together. And I plan on drinking, which is something I rarely do, but after this week, I think my body is begging for it!!!

I am sorry about your Aunt- I think it's great that she was able and alert to say that to her childern- they are lucky to have that momement at such a sad time-
( of course I am crying now- b/c I know what they are going thru- I am sure she is watching over them)
