Need a new Vet for Gizmo - UPDATED
Somewhere in the Centereach/Stony Brook area.
He hasn't been to a vet in a while (he goes to Petco for shots) but he is starting to show signs of aging so I just want to have him checked out and start taking him regularly again.

Rocky gets his shots at Petco, but I take him to a vet every 6 months for a check up and I hound them with questions over the phone
Good to see im not the only one to go to Petco for shots....
I dont live over there, so I have no recom....
but i want to give Gizmo hugs

Kathy116;s husband is a vet. I think they are in Port Jefferson or somewhere near there. If you are interested, fm her,
VIP note, get blood work too. My cats are three and go ever year for a check up and blood work. It is very important to know every thingis okay.

My DHs practice is in Port Jefferson Station, that's how I met my DH, he was my vet.

We take our boys to the St. James Animal Hospital on 25A, and we are very happy with Dr. Star. FM if you want details.

i know this isn't in the area you specified but i see dr. myers at deer park animal hospital. she was so wonderful with my german shep when we had to put him to sleep (we had a horrible vet in nhp). i bring jj to her because i don't trust anyone else...
good luck with giz!!! he's such a cutie!

I take Sandy to Kathy116 DH. I really like him. He is good to Sandy & always answers any questions I have. I hope I find someone that I like in VA when we move.

I took Gizmo to Kathy's DH. He was great!
Unfortunately Gizmo got much worse so we couldn't wait and I took him today. He is coughing/whhezing so much he is turning blue and can't breathe. We have 3 different medications for him now so hopefully he will get better It is something with his trachea.

After the fireworks stopped (around midnight) he went to sleep and only woke up twice coughing
So far today he is doing good.
But I am not going to want to leave him tomorrow when I have to go back to work
