Tell me what you think of this..

So yesterday we had a production meeting (which is when all of the production staff and deisgners get together). it was after a runthrough, so it started at 10:30 and ran until about 11:40. After the meeting we were talking about transport and the SM mentioned that i live in Queens and so does the costume designer so I could maybe pick up pieces from her if she couldn't make it. I said sure. Then the costume designer was like "oh you're going to Queens now?" because she lives in Astoria and wanted a ride home. I said "yeah, I live in way SE Queens, but I'm going over the 59th Street Bridge, so.." and it's not that I didn't want to drive her home, but I've never met her before in my life..and that doesn't really matter, but it was midnight by this time, (I had to wait 15 minutes for her to finish up), and I don't know Astoria very well at all, and my cellphone had just died, so i was sort of iffy about it. So she was like "Well you can drop me at queens plaza" I was like "ok" because I know that general area. Then she's like "Well you can drive me home and I'll get you back to the LIE"..I was like "umm ok"..

So she gets in my car and starts telling me how to drive!
She told me tot ake the upper level so I went down 58th street, and she's like "oh you want to go that way" pointing to 59th...and I said "I can go this way too"...I'm pretty sure 59th leads to the lower level and the only way to the upper is on 58th. (verify?) So we are on 58th and there's a lot of traffic. I usually hit non, especially at that hour, but it was crazy gridlock...and she kept saying "I would have gone the other way. next time go the the other way." I was like "well I usually have no problem here." Turns out it was all a trailer that tried to get on the bridge and couldn't clear. So it had nothing to do with anything...

And she kept being like "You need to get ahead of this guy, you need to do this..you need to do that..don't hit that blue van" ..I was like "my car is very short in the front" and it is, I look to some people like I'mg oing to hit someone when really I have 3 feet. and she's like "well you could still hit the van."

I was SOOOOO happy to have her out of my car.

Oh the best was when we were appraoching the bridge and only the left lane goes to the rbidge and the right lane goes straight, and she was like "I would be going around on the right lane and cut in" I was like "I would be yelling at you out my window"

and then she was like "oh my mom is like that, alwyas yelling at me to slow down andbe careful"

She was to the ppoint of like "oh you gotta let this car in"

it's like "umm do you want to see my license? it says I know how to effing drive!!"

I don't even KNOW her
and she's YOUNGER than me

I like how she said "next time". I would have been like next time your hiking your azz over the bridge sans my car!

How annoying. You'd think she'd be grateful you were taking her home instead of telling you how to drive.

I think next time, if there is one, you should just tell her "wow, can you reach the pedals from all the way over there - it must be a miracle because I thought I was driving"...she should get the hint. Dumb azz!
