Opinions on bedding...

For parents-to-be that are waiting for birth to find out the sex....

Does this look girly?

Does this look too plain?

Re: Opinions on bedding...

First off, I loce them both! Yes, I think the 1st one is a little girly. The 2nd one is perfect of you want to remain neutral. You could always "personalize" it once you have the baby with some pink (or other girly colors) for a girl and more blues for a boy.

I was thinking the SAME thing! Though, if I choose the 2nd one, and DO have a girl, I'd be piss'd that I didn't get the 1st! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Opinions on bedding...

I like them both, we picked a yellow and blue pattern for our first child because we didn't know what we were having.

But I will say I like the first to be a bit more neutral because it has the white in it. When I look at the second, I see lots of yellow, and although neutral, reminds me more for a girl. But both are so pretty and you can't go wrong with either.

I like them both, however the first seems looks more girlie than neutral.

I love a lot of the bedding with frogs.

Re: Opinions on bedding...

I think you'd be fine with either - they're both pretty and neutral. I was having a horrible time trying to find neutral bedding. Finally found this:

The picture don't do it justice though. Each of the patches have different patterns in them, some with moons and stars. I love it.

Why don't you get them both and then return the one you don't end up using? I love them both!

Re: Opinions on bedding...

Do you plan on getting the nursery all set up before the baby is born? My friend registered for a neutral set but didn't set up the nursery before she had the baby and when the baby was born she returned it because she decided to do a girly nursery.

ETA I like both sets!

Yea, I was planning on setting it up before the baby was born... painting, lightly decorating, and crib bedding...

I don't think the first one is girly at all. I think they are both neutral, but I like the first one better. I think it is livlier.

Re: Opinions on bedding...

Heres another thought - why not wait till after you have the baby to decide on bedding? Then you can really go with the one you love if its not a neutral. Or you can always register for one you feel strongly about right now and bring it back after the baby if you decide you'd rather have a girly one if its a girl or a boyish one for a boy. Thats what I did after I had my son. I liked my neutral bedding but I did love the blue one of the same print and after I had him I kept thinking of how much more I liked the blue so I went to BRU and switched it.
