NICK LACHEY's publicists are furiously denying a magazine report suggesting the pop hunk is dating his ex-wife JESSICA SIMPSON's best friend and assistant.
Lachey, who has recently been linked romantically to former beauty queen LIZZIE ARNOLD, has now been spotted in the arms of CACEE COBB, according to US magazine Life + Style.
In its new issue, the publication claims the couple was spotted getting cosy at Los Angeles' Level 3 nightclub last week (29JAN06) as onlookers gasped in astonishment.
One reveller says, "Nick had his arms wrapped around her, and he was kissing her all over the side of her face and neck. Her arms were around him, too.
"We were watching in total disbelief. We kept waiting for them to rip each other's clothes off."
The revellers felt Cobb should not have been cavorting with her best friend's ex in such a public place.
One fumes, "There may be nothing going on between them, but it was inappropriate behaviour. Everyone was like, "Wow, what are they thinking?"
But Lachey's representatives are strongly denying rumours of a romance between their client and Cobb, insisting, "Nick and CaCee are friends, that's it."

If it's true, OMG! Shame on her! Jessica dragged her out of that small town in Texas and gave her so much stuff. On her birthday this year she threw her a big party and gave her a Mercedes! And it seemed like she totally annoyed him on Newlyweds.

Oh I know - I mean I am not that into this whole story but if thats true....I mean thats terribly sad! Poor Jessica - how could she ever have a true girlfriend again???/

All I have to say is that Jessica's dad is really manipulative and has been trying to paint Jessica as the "victim" since the whole scandal broke. This could def win her sympathy.
Also...Cacee looked downright jealous and flirty with Nick during Newlyweds.

I don believe it fora second. Before you got married, weren't you cudely with some male friend? Neither of them are married and they are really god friends. I 100% this is hollywood gossip and a bunch of poeple over-reacting.

heck yeah! cacee freaks me out. she totally wants to BE jessica and im sorry, but she should have never have even taken up the offer ot move in with them while they were newlyweds and filming. can you say, i want my fifteen minutes of fame AND my best friends life?!
