anyone been "contacted" be a deceased loved one?

i know some people do not believe in this at all..so if you dont, please do not reply and add controversy to this, it is coming from a pure place.

with the recent passing of my grandmother, i often think about how/when/if i will feel her around me.

i have had experiences in the past, with other weird premonition type things, but i am really eager to feel my grandmother around me. but it may sound silly, but im a little nervous!

anyone have any experiences they want to share?

My grandmother had an unusual last name, and there is a school bus operator located on a street that shares her name. Once in a while I'll see a school bus with from that operator and I feel like it's her way of letting me know that she's around. Maybe it's kooky but I do believe that our loved ones are around us in some capacity.

Yes when my Nanny's sister passed away(My Aunt) I knew she was gone the reason why was when i was at work i saw this lady like in a vision wearing a babyblue dress and i heard her voice and i was like Aunt**** and when i went home before my mom could tell me she was like Ro i have something to tel you its about Aunt**** and i was like Mom i know. well when we had her awake i heard her say something like sing a song and i was like no we are at your awake something made me go to where they have those cards of the person's name on it and it had a saying like sing a song for me and i was like omg!! i knew she visited it me.

another one is when my cousin passed away from a car accident he was in when he was 25 years old i lost touch with him because my dad and Uncle had a fight so what bought them back together was his passing so i went through a stage in saying i wish i could have talked to him or seen him when he was alive and i went for a walk with my mom and i found a feather which was very white and it looked like it came from heaven than that night i saw him like a outerframe picture of him in his uniform. than i had this peace feeling come over me and i knew he still loved me and cared about me.

My grandmother always told me before she died that she would never appear before me...to not scare me. She told me that she would move things on me.

When I was sitting on my bed, reading one day (after she passed), I felt a tap on my shoulder. I looked up and the picture hanging over my bed tilted to it's side. What tapped me on my shoulder was the rubber stopper that was underneath the frame. There was no way that could have come off the frame unless you pulled the frame away from the wall. When I called my DH into the room he looked at the frame and said...what the hell did you do!!

She also said that she never wanted people crying over her. Just the other night, I was thinking about her and started crying while I was laying in bed. All of a sudden Jared started whimpering too from a dead sleep. This made me stop crying and wonder...does she not want me to cry over her? Maybe some things are a coincidence, but I like to think differently.

now when you say you heard her tell you to sing a song...did you actually hear it or was it like a voice in your head? i know it sounds silly, but how would you describe it?

I heard it in my head so actually I would say both.Imean i know it was her because of her voice and i had a chill going down my back when i was saying Aunt**** are you here and it was like confirmation saying yes its me saying this to you.I miss her very much wow I am going to have to say my prayers tonight for her she must be around me today.

Wow what powerful stories!
Although I have never experienced this,I have always tried to feel my Mother around me somehow!
I lost my Mother when I was 7 and I have always longed for her to come around!
I am a beleiver and will not give up on this!

Wow what powerful stories!
Although I have never experienced this,I have always tried to feel my Mother around me somehow!
I lost my Mother when I was 7 and I have always longed for her to come around!
I am a beleiver and will not give up on this!

it will happen all you have to do is meditate and relax and pray and say something like Mom i know its been a while but i wish you would come and visit me i been thinking of you. sometimes when you just think of them you get a chill down your back and your like i know its you.

When DH's best friend passed away, I had a dream about him a few months later. There were no words spoken between us, but all i know was that I was sitting next to him in the woods, as if we were camping. All of a sudden my cousin was in my dream, trying to get me to go swimming. I didn't want to leave him, cause in my dream, I knew he was dead. He just smiled, as if to say, it's okay go. It's so weird, cause we communicated without any words. When I woke up that morning, I told DH that I had a dream about him, and he started crying because he did too. We both described the setting and it was the same, but I wasn't in his dream, and he wasn't in mine. I belive he came to visit us.

My great grandmother comes to me when I am sleeping. I was very close to her and was 20 yrs old when she passed away. Often she stands at the end of the bed and I am flashing back to things we did when I was little. Things like gardening, going on little walks and sitting under the big tree we had in the yard.

She always told me things grow by the light of the moon. I was gardening and I had some flowers that were just not taking well to being in the garden. I did everything I could and nothing. I said a little pray to her to help me and a few days later my lifeless looking flowers were big and beautiful.

My father saw his father. My father was rushed to the hospital and turned out he had kidney stones. While laying in bed my grandfather stood at the end of the bed and said to him "It is not your time. I've come to take your pain" Placed his hand on his leg and he passed the stone.

When he and my mom returned home their was a message from my uncle that my grandfather passed away during the night.

wow, that is amazing! i had a dream about a friend i lost in an accident and i could absolutely tell it was not just a dream. and like you, there were no words spoken but the dream was a huge powerful message to me that he was going to help me get through it. isnt it amazing to feel something like that?

I have always encouraged the people I miss to come to me & be with me. At my wedding their was a fireplace behind the sweetheart table & we had pictures of our loved ones that passed (DHs dad & sister, my beloved grandparents & special aunt & uncles) on that mantle because I wanted them there with us.

In my old townhouse there was a very bright red cardinal that was always outside my window-cardinals were my grandmas favorite. It always made me think she was there for me.
In our new house so many things have happened...mostly when my extended family is around. We were having a big party over the summer & we started discussing a time in my late grandfathers life that he was not particularly proud of...and one that was a "secret". There was a picture of him as a child with his parents & siblings on a solid wood table nearby, just as the topic started to get to the "secret" part the wooden table split perfactly in half without anyone near it or touching it and the picture fell to the floor but didn't break....everyone stopped talking & we just never got around to finishing the conversation. I think my grandpa didn't want us to go there.

My guest room is completely filled with furniture & things that belonged to my late grandma(the cardinal lover) & everyone that stays in that room says they sleep like a baby & it is so peaceful, I'm sure its because she's in there & she was the kindest most nuturing woman on the planet.

We've had lots of other little things happen in our new house too but I won't bore you.

I've always believed in this because when I was a newborn my great grandfather( I was the first great grand child) was on his way from Florida to see me for my christening, he was taking a bus & he died in a bus stop in Georgia and he never got to see me. Shortly after my mother remembers being awoken from a deep sleep & looking at the foot of her bed which was were my crib was & seeing him standing over me & praying in Latin.
Years later I was nearly killed by a drunk driver-could never figure out how I escaped death & serious injury. My mother went to a medium that had never met me & didn't know about my accident & he told her my guardian angel is my great grandfather & was with me in the accident.

I'm a big believer.


All of the other stories posted here gave me goosebumps. As far as those that are waiting...I'm sorry that you haven't felt it yet. I do think though that you have to welcome them into your home & your life & be free of fear...because they would never want to upset you...then they will come.

all these stories gave me the chills.

I'm not sure if this means anything but the last time that I spoke with my first boyfriend, I felt an inmensely sadness, like if something was telling me that it would be the last time I would hear from him.
he had called to say goodbye because the next day he was leaving for a trip to Colombia.

he died in that trip, the plane crashed and only five people survived.

I always know that he is my guardian angel and he is always looking over me.

My grandfather passed a long time ago, we were very close. He visits in my dreams but on a few rare occasions I smell the strong scent of his pipe. He is the only person I know of that ever smoked a pipe. The smell can be so strong sometimes it makes me lightheaded. It's at those times when my mind becomes at ease- it's like he's letting me know that I'll get through whatever it is and he is there with me.

oh okay...you talked me into it!
I have an uncle that passed that was a very big part of our family...he loved to drink beer & gamble-he was a bad boy from back in the day. So we were out on my deck late one night (me, my stepdaughter, my mom, grandma, my aunt & a few others & my aunt was talking about a medium she went to(upstate where she lives) & how he kept telling her stuff she didn't understand(because she has lived upstate for years she wasn't as close to this uncle as the rest of us). The medium kept telling her about a place that serves spare ribs and budweiser...she didn't realize my uncle was good friends with the guys that oned Bobby Rubinos (which was famous for ribs) & he hung out there constantly. At the moment we were talking about this & I was explaining to her what bobby Rubinos was a budweiser can that was on the table we were sitting at moved about 6 inches...nobody noticed but my grandmother & I...my 81 year Grandma said to me quietly "did you see that" & said yes & it moved again...this time everyone saw it.
My uncle was there, I'm sure.
My Sd was TOTALLY freaked out(she was 11 at the time & wouldn't sleep by herself that night

We have lots of stories in my family...one is my mother had a dream of my Grandmother (her mother) telling her she sold the house for 249 dollars and my mother played the number 249 the next day and it came out! Now only if she could tell her the numbers for Mega Millions
