What's your favorite song to sing with your child
Right now:
We love Tony Chestnut!
But our all time favorite stand-bys are
Do you know these letter sounds, Row Row Row your Boat, I love you so much and of course good old itsy bitsy spider.

I usually sing Bushel and a Peck to James.
But I danced with him to "Your song" by Elton John at my wedding.

Right now my favorite song to sing with her is "daisy daisy" but I change the words so it goes
"Emmy Emmy give me your answer true
I'm half crazy all for the love of you
it won't be a stylish marriage
i can't afford a carriage
but you'll look sweet upon the seat
of a bicycle built for two."
I also love when her daddy puts on his Grateful Dead music and plays along on his Bass Guitar and Emily and I dance around the room. Yes, I'm a reformed hippie.

We make up a lot of songs. His favorite that always works is the twinkle twinkle tune:

This is one of our favorites too, and "A Bushel and a peck", my Mom use to sing these to me non-stop!
We alwayssing "open, Shut them" We learned it at Gymboree many years ago

this is so funny, all my kids are "dead heads", the greatest hits CD calms them down and puts them to sleep. My 3 month old was just screaming in the car and I took out my lucky Greatful Dead CD and it has worked again!!! they love it!

We sing the ABC's song, "here is the church, here is the steeple" thingie and I also sing rock a bye baby while I swing her around.
We also have our own little songs Mommy made up that's she's not repeating on here
