Spinoff to tastefully simple..are there other sales rep people here?
For things like:
Partylite
Pampered Chef
Tastefully Simple
Tupperware
The Body Shop (yes, they do parties)
Passions Parties
Discovery Toys
Etc...
I love having parties like this and haven't had one in a long time, and would love to use someone I "know" through the site instead of a random stranger that I look up on their website.

How do you become reps...
and is it worth it.... meaning is the $$$$ really good.... or just extra cash doing something fun?

Yep -- I actually JUST threw out the brouchures that I had for the Body Shop lady -- because I don't think it's a party I'd do at the time -- but they do "spa" parties. WHen I met the rep she said that they do bachelorette parties and you can have a spa party right at your house where you and all your GFs will get pampered. It sounded SOO nice but I just don't have a big enough house for something like that right now. I probably can find her business card -- want me to look?

i was always curious about this too.
but... i'm only good with handling the alcohol consumption aspect of parties

For being a TS rep you sign on, for example, as me as your... crap, I cant think of the word, Ill just use sponser. You pay a certain amount to become an active consultant. I get products at a discounted price and a commission on every party I do. I don't make a killing because I have 2 kids, husband, 2 other businesses that I run out of the house so it's really a total side job for me but as an example I gave a friend of mine some books and samples, about $10 worth of samples, and I made $50 for doing nothing but supplying her with the supplies.

I think it really depends how "into it" you are. My mom had to pay $95 or so for the beginning starter kit for Pampered Chef- and it gave her some basics for parties. Its like any business though, it takes a while to build a client base and what not. My mom has a lot of fun with it- and its not her only job. She started doing it just to get out a few nights a week, and to make some extra money on the side. She got really into it, and she does very well for herself with it! I am quite proud of her. She's been doing it for a little over a year- and she's still going strong. They have a lot of incentives- such as if you reach a certain amount of sales, you get a higher comission. She's recruited 2 people to be pampered chef consultants- and so now she makes money off of shows they do too. She really really love it.

If you're looking for a party it would be a Spa Party - skin care products, body lotions, make up, even diet & weight loss stuff...creams and lotions for babies... good stuff.

Yes it's worth it. For a little bit of work, it is definately worth the paycheck. Plus it's a lot of fun to do.

These are FUN parties.
If you aren't a scrapbooker you could always create something to frame -- just one single page -- since they tell you to bring some photos and you get to try stuff out and make a sample. I have a friend who sells stuff like this --- but it would be very "shabby chic" to take a black & white or sepia photo and scrapbook it up and then place it in a weathered looking frame. I'd totally be into a party like this.
