Real estate broker-usually own agency-has more clasroom training
Real estate agent-is sponsored by a broker-they may have more experience but don't want the headaches of being a broker-owner

Broker - owner
Agent - works under the broker, and splits $$ w/broker (percentages vary)
An agent can obtain his/her brokers license after 2 years of having a regular RE sales license
