do you have a white/natural colored couch like this? i need to know how its holding up

hi im about to buy a couch similar to this- its a slipcovered large white sofa in white/natural twill

does anyone have a white sofa like this? how is the color holding up? or am i a complete jackazz for ordering this color?

i was told the slipcovers are washable- but im just concerned about having white couches and them looking really dirty.

any experience with a white couch is appreciated!

We almost bought that exact couch--is that Pottery Barn? We didn't and I have to say, I'm glad we didn't. One spill and it's over. I have a slip cover on a settee and it's linen color, I wased it and it came out okay, but not as nice as before I washed it. I do recommend a darker color. It's beautiful though.

the one pictured is restoration hardware but were looking at te same thing in asleepr from jennifer convertibles..

i know- one spill and iti s over- we are buying the $99 protection plan that covers food wine, blood etc. they will clean the couse or replace it...i just dont want it looking dingy all the time

I love how clean the white couches look but I think I would be such a lunatic about anyone spilling anythng on them. We have white fabric on our dining room chairs and of course the first holiday we had here my nephew spilled fruit punch on it.

I think it's a beautiful look though!

First they are very pretty and clean looking.

I have white couches....they are now slipcovered in a khaki color. I had them w/o slipcovers for a few yrs and they looked great but over the years they got dirty and dingy looking, not to mention all the spills and grease that got one them. They are now in my den.

If you are not going to use them alot, I would say go for it, but IMO I would never buy white or off white couches again. They are just too impractical for my lifestyle.

But, you said these are slipcovered so they can be washed or steamcleaned so that is good I guess.

i would not recommend b/c even tho it is washable, it doesn't come out the same. it looks worn (but clean) when it comes out of the wash and the stain depends on what it is will still leak to the sofa itself and stain the sofa. if you LOVE white, i recommend buying a pricey couch with those gurantees of spills, rips etc.

As long as you can wash it, it will hold up well. We have a slipcovered extra large lounge type chair that has a slip-cover. I have had it for three years int that color and it still looks good. The fabric I have really washes well.

I have one just like that in my den and it still looks good. I have to wash and iron the slip covers every couple of months. When we don't have company we usually put a throw blanket down to sit on just to minimize the risk. Here's a pic:

We have beige leather and I love it. I really wanted the light color, but was also concerned about spills and such. The beige leather is great because if you spill something on it, it is ok. Just quickly wipe it up and you are fine. I think I would also be worried if someone wore new jeans and the color rubbed off onto the fabric.

I think its a great piece of furniture. it is so clean and classy looking in the pic. Me...I would be so nervous, but as long as it can be cleaned I would say go for it.

No, actually the chair is from target.com and is a TOTAL knock-off of Crate & Barrel! I saved a bunch and love it! Here is a pic of the other side of the room.... (don't mind the console under the TV...we hadn't finished that yet).
