Sort of TTC - BC Question
If you stop birth control, when would you ovulate?
If the last week of the pill is a placebo (when AF shows up, I never even take the placebo pills) ... would you ovulate the following week since it was 2-weeks since you took the pill?
Or would it be 2 weeks after AF shows up (which would be 3 weeks after you stopped taking the pill)
Just curious. I need to buy a book, I know but thought someone might have some insight.

Re: Sort of TTC - BC Question
It all depends on your cycle legnth. Since your cycle right now is 28 days... lets assume it stays that way so you would ovulate anywhere from 8-13 days AFTER you finished your AF.

OK, after AF. I wasn't sure if the placebo pill had any bearing on when you O. Thanks.

Re: Sort of TTC - BC Question
actually i think it is approx. 14 days, give or take a few, after the first day of your last period. I just got pregnant my first month off the pill and I used one of those due date calculators and it also told me the date that I likely conceived was 6/12, which is 14 days after the start of my last period. the placebo pills shouldn't have any effect on when you ovulate. But for some people your cycle won't be regular right away after you go off BC so it can be hard to figure out when you should ovulate.

Re: Sort of TTC - BC Question
They actually say, your ovulation timing won't change while you are on the pill. So in other words if you used to ovulate on day 14, you probably will again. However, in the past you may not have known when you ovulated...so I am not sure I am much help. :(
