good to hear  Im going to have to call all the inlaws and my brother. It looks like it is heading RIGHT for them. They all live in between Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach

It isn't? The e-mail I just got from CNN called it "Hurricane Katrina".
I hope all of my family in the Ft. Lauderdale area is okay!!

Last I heard on the news it was down to a Cat 1 hurricane expected to dump A LOT of rain.

I spoke to my mom who is in Boca Raton before. She said it's not supposed to be too bad by her, but they'll prob lose power!

I hope we do not loose power. We lost power for 3 days with Charlie and it was horrible. We are well water and if we loose power we loose our water.
A bit of Hurricane tid bit: It was 11 years ago this week Andrew devestated Miami. 1 year ago Charlie devestated Punta Gorda.

ARGH!!! Blow Blow... stay east of us please!!! We can't take another eye wall here!
Looks like we might be living off our gas generator for another week and with the price of gas!!! Argh

Is it even freaking possible for this many storms to hit the same few towns in the panhandle over and over. We barely have a sea wall anymore and they were going to start beach renourishment this weekend.
It just took me an hour to find fuel but I'm all gassed up with enough for my generator as well as picked up an AC unit to hook up to my generator.... So now I am offically broke between our insurance screwing us with Dennis since my husband did the repairs we are still well below our hurricane deductible even though our fence along would have been 4,000 to repair if we had professionals do it and FEMA just stinks with this years hurricanes, too many people abused them last year I guess.
Deb, most likely we are going to stay or we are going to head to NC to my parents house. I have my beagle, kitty so it's such a pain to evacuate (but thank God he is crate trained and we have a F250). I'm so not looking foward to driving to Raleigh if it comes to that and I'm scared just because it's just me and Jack. Image Attachment(s):
