How did you pick your baby's pediatrician?
I feel like I'm kinda behind on this. It's hard because we just moved to Chicago this past spring so we don't really know anyone to get recommendations from. My OB recommended someone and I'm going to check them out.
Also, did you "interview" them? If so, what kind of questions did you ask?

we asked around in our neighborhood - and then just met with a few...its hard to truly interview them snce you only find out what its like once the baby comes - but the whole thing to keep in mind (our friends told us this after they had a horrible exp.!) is that you can always change drs if needed!  GOOD LUCK!

We go next month to a prenatal class at the practice, for a tour and to meet the doctors. I liked the idea of that.

yeah I was shocked! They say they do it for an hour every Friday. The only negative is that they don't cover the hospital that I am delivering at, but no one seems to think that is a big concern.

That's so nice. I've heard that it's no big deal that they don't cover your hospital. I took a class at our hospital about what to expect from your pediatrician and he said that it really is not a big deal. You'll just take the baby to them at his/her first visit.

We never interviewed ours. We just went with them based off of opinions of friends, family, and the ladies on this site.
