Does anyone notice this with NY & CO. pants...
If i really like a pair of pants, I end up buying a few pairs in different colors - same size. I dont know if its just me, but sometimes (even though they are the same size) the pants fit differently. Like today.. Im wearing these black pants.. they fit tighter than the grey ones I wore yesterday... Same situation with this other style I bought. Im insane right?

NO you are NOT insane!
This happens to me too!
Same pants- same size-different color- yet one is bigger than the other.
I often wonder about the quality of their stuff. They are not cheap either- unless you get it on sale or with a coupon.

I notice this a lot.
It happens in their shirts too! If I like a shirt, I'll get it in more than 1 color - the WHITE shirt usually runs bigger than the colors!

This is not only with their pants.
2 seperate times i bought the same pants in 2 colors but the same size from Macys (each time it was a differant brand) and they fit differant.
once was black and tan capris
and the other time was wine and ivory cortaroys

I cant stand the fit of ny and co cloths- they always fit differently or run toooo big. The sizes are not true there. Which is why I can never find anything there.

Happens to me too. Maybe the color dye used in the fabric causes it to shrink in one color more than the other. ???

A friend of mine in the fashion world told me that fabric is cut in the fashion of a large cookie cutter. The fabric on the top of the pile is closer to the size of the pants and the fabric at the bottom is usually cut much smaller in the same size! That is why they fit so differently.
