How do I know which utility companies to contact to make the switch?

We're most likely closing Monday 10/3, (we should have a definite on this today), but once we know, who do I call??? This is my first time buying a home, so I'm not exactly sure of who I need to call and when.

Call:
LIPA
Suffolk County Water Authority
I had to call a propane company because I have propane cooking (Yuck!)
Call your phone company
Cable or Satellite Company
If you have Oil heating call them

This is all I can think of for now.

When I bought my house last year it was my first time also, and it seems overwhelming, but trust me when I say you get through it.

I think my house has gas heat and gas stove, is there a specific gas company that I call or is that Keyspan?
