Beware of BRU and Similac coupons.....

I get Similac coupons (the $5.00 ones) from my girlfriend and I give here my Enfamil ones because I use Similac and she uses Enfamli.

Well, she sent me nearly $30.00 of coupons and I was in BRU and I picked up one Similac RTF bottle (because they only allow one per customer) and I go up to the register and the cashier asks to see my license--me not realizing what is about to happen--tells me that she cannot accept my coupon because my name does not appear on the Similac coupon

Just a warning--if you have someone else's coupon-tell the cashier that you forgot your license!!

Jeez, can't a mother save a little money??????

how rude !!!!! it def depends on the cashier because Ive used several different ones at the same time.

Wow. I've never had anyone check. I don't know why they care, its not like they don't get their money from Similac.

They check coupons frequently at the Wal-Mart in East Meadow, and to make things worse they dont know how to process them so you are there FOREVER!

I almost always "forget" my walet because I share coupons with lots of people.

You know who is great at not checking these....Kmart. I go to the youngest cashier possible and give her 3-4 coupons with different names and she can care less....BRU can be a pain in the butt!

That's so rude - i go to the BRU in College Point - and they never ask for my license. They also allow as many coupons per purchase as I want - as long as its one coupon per formula bottle.


I usually buy 6 at a time and I give her 6 coupons no problem.

Wow that really stinks, thanks for the warning though. I bought some off Ebay and used them at Stoop & Shop and they dont ask me for any ID at all. Plus I can use the $5 coupons on Similac Alimentum even though the coupon itself says it's just for SImilac Advance.

Walmart in Centereach doesn't check but their cashiers never know how to process them and then their registers don't accept them for some reason. I stopped going there and go to Target in South Setauket, they never check for ID.

I've heard that the IDing is a recent thing, because of people selling checks on Ebay.

We've even had the situation where I sent DH to the store to buy formula and they wouldn't let him use my coupon because he's a man and it had a woman's name --- the cashier told him that specifically, and he was like it's my wife's name and showed them his license with the same last name and explained that I was home with the baby and they still wouldn't take it -- so I just signed him up for coupons too. Now we get them in both names and he keeps his in his wallet and I keep mine in mine.
