For anyone renting an apartment......HELP!

Does anyone know how much gas and electric run per month for an apartment? My FH and I found an apartment we really like, but does not include gas and electric. It's a 2 bedroom duplex, with a gas stove.
Any help we be great, we're clueless!!

you may want to call up the gas and electric companies and find out if they can provide you with an average of the address and unit.

Re: For anyone renting an apartment......HELP!

there are different things to concider when guestemating how much it could be.
We lived in a 1brm apt for 4 years and the gas was roughly 75-100/month, on the budget plan. And the Keyspan was rediculous roughly 200/month.
It was an older house, that had plaster (non insulated walls, old windows, and the front door needed to be replaced) so will all that concidered, thats why the gas bill was so high.

Thanks for your help. The apartment has a washer and dryer in the until and we are trying to figure out if the money we would save not having to go to the Laundromat would cancel out the gas bill. Chat Icon

I probably use more electric than the average person.

I have a 2br apartment... and on average I use about 500 KWHs which equals a $140 electric bill. We have a dishwasher but no washer and dryer.
