New Windows and Siding
We are buying a cape which only has siding on three sides and would like to replace all the windows as well as the siding and I guess we would have to do the same for the garage so it matches.
Roughly, what should we expect to pay for siding and windows....just simple up and down windows and maybe w/grids.
Also, any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!! We are in contract and close in June!!! Very excited and of course we have tons of things in our head that we want to do so I'm trying to get price ideas.

Good luck, try not to worry about doing everything at once. Do it according to priortiy otherwise you go nuts .

When we had our done we got prices that ranged from 14k to 22k. We ended up going with a reputable company and got the best siding available. I did not want to worry about it years from now. It cost us roughly 19k.

Really??? I was thinking a lot less then this since the house isn't that big and it's only three sides.....man, maybe I won't be doing the siding now!!!

My mom paid $10k incl the garage for a house thats probably 2x the size of yours.
You can probably do it for abt $6-7k. Super Pro is awesome

Was this price for windows and siding or just the siding on the house and garage?

My mom had her house and garage done for $10k that was just siding .
I dont htink they have a website. They are located in Lynbrook, my mom has used them for years, painting, siding..

The windows are the really expensive part. Most places charge you the cost of the window to put them in. So if you buy a 500.00 window they charge you an additional 400.00 - 500.00 to put it in.
You can get it cheaper and my house is a little bigger than yours but be careful because you want to get good quality stuff. You do not want to have to do it again. You want good windows and you want a lifetime guarantee on the siding. The siding manufacturers change their colors just slightly every few years. So, if you have a piece that flies off in bad weather and you replace it the color might be different. The company that did our siding had it in our contract that they would replace the whole house for free if that happened.
Be careful who you use and get everything in writing.
