Re: London Broil

I usually buy Montreal steak seasoning from McCormick and rub it on the steak and then grill it with some bbq sauce and everyone who has had it loves it.

Re: London Broil

I know this response is a little late but DH just made the most delicous grilled (marinated) london broil last night....

Marinade:
5 Large Garlic Cloves
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup dry red wine
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon honey

1 1/2 pound top-round London Broil

Mince and mash garlic to a paste with salt and in a blender blend with remaining marinade ingredients. In a heavy duty sealable plastic bag combine London broil with marinade. Seal bag (make sure to press out air) Put in the fridge turning occasionally overnight (you could probably also do it for like 4 or 5 hours)

Take the steak out of the fridge and let it get to room temperautre before grilling. Grill approx 8 mins on each side for medium-rare. Let steak stand about 10 minutes before slicing...

It is delicious!!Chat Icon

DH hates London Broil, he thinks it is too tough. I on the other hand like it very much.

MANY years ago when I used to make it, I grilled it on the BBQ. I coated it with olive oil, salt & pepper & some parsley. that's it.

YUM!

I usually marinate mine in Italian dressing for 24 hours and then broil it in my toaster oven. Lately I've been using the A1 New York Steakhouse marinade. Yummy!
