So, Ava tried cereal last night!
And she HATED it She gagged a little, but then got the hang of it. She probably only had about 10 spoonfuls , or I should say half spoonfuls, because she started crying soon after My mom's going to come over tonight with a special therapy spoon that will help her get the hang of if (my mom's an infant feeding specialist, convenient, huh?). I'll post pics when I get home later. They're priceless

Andrew hates Rice Cereal. I tried and tried and he hated it and hated it
I switched to oatmeal which he loves.
I can't wait to see pics

Can't wait to see pics! Christopher wasn't in a good mood the first day we introduced cereal and he screamed and cried. Oddly enough, that was the only time he's ever rejected food. After he thoroughly enjoyed the 2nd attempt, it was all downhill from there

Rachel,
I'm not a mom but my friend had preemies and one of them had extremely bad reflux and i think she used to put the cereal right in with the formula. That may help? Not sure if you already tried it. I think it helps with reflux because it makes the formula thicker. You should FM her, TwinMama-she's not on every day but she'll respond.

He got SO much better when we started cereal! Try the oatmeal - he loved it! We started giving it to him @ 12weeks and the AR was MUCH better!

My DS tried cereal for the first time last night too. He wasnt too into it but smiled through a few spoonfuls to be nice to me.

shannon hated it too, but now ( at 6mths) she is finally ok with it.. Stick with it she is just getting used to it..
