UPDATE...my cat is sick...
I came home today to throw up all over my apt. but just spit up...nothing else....but all over. She keeps doing it...what can i do for her????
I don't have a vet...I havent needed one since I moved to NYC.
UPDATE:
I brought Chloe to the vet shortly after I posted...she ended up having emergency surgery to remove a string that she ate. She is doing well...I will visit her later this evening.
Thank god i brought her when I did, the string was wrapped up in her intestines and could have severed it.
She is expected to make a full recovery. Im still crying..i cant believe i almost lost my baby...
Thanks for the advice.

Does it look like foam? It's probably nothing, and she is trying to get up a hairball.

Yes, it looks like foam....but ALL over my apt....and she was hiding when I came home. She never does this...she is acting mopy and sad.

I would take her to the vet just to be safe. It does sound like a hairball, but they're usually good about getting those out. I know my baby vomits huge ones.

If you think it's an upset stomach, try switching her food to boiled chicken and rice.

Maybe she has an upset stomach. If you can give her a little grass, that usually helps settle their stomachs!!

Its probably nothing, cats throw up all the time. Either she is trying to get rid of a hairball or ate something like grass that is making her throw up. If it continues for another day or two, I would call the vet, but I don't think you need to do that just yet.

Just wanted to tell you that I have 4 cats and they all throw up liquid foam and I've found it to be nothing. If you are concerned you should definitely take the cat to the vet, but it's probably nothing.

I am so happy that your kitty is going to be ok we had a similar problem with ours, she had a huge hairball and had to have it surgically removed as well...
