Can I ask a dumb question?
when an outfit says 6M...does that mean 3-6 months or 6-9 months?

6-9 is my understanding.. but every company sizes things different.
Carters and Little Me seem similar but Zantano sizes real small compared to the other two IMO.

I have found its different with different manufacturers.. I would say 6-9... compare it with the length of another item marked 3-6/6-9.. Check legs and waist OR arm length and length of shirt if its a shirt.. HTH,,, Check pounds too.. thats how i bought clothes just marked 6 mos. or 9mos...

I know that carters says 6 months it is 3-6 and Zantano runs very big.. unless I have a very small kid.. she is still wearing the same 12 month stuff my mom bought her last year...Gap and Old Navy are cut very big and ralph Lauren what even the size says add 3 months...

Well if Zantano ( thanks for showing me the correct spelling:)) runs big then it must run long because my little man has a super long torso and compared to Carters and Little Me his Zantano Rompers don't cut it. If you look on BabyCenter's comments in their store alot of Mom's have the same complaint as I do. Same thing with Gap and Old Navy for me again they are short on Jack yet big on the body. He'll be 6 months next week and we are already well into 12 month clothing

I have yet to figure this out. It would be nice if all the companies just used the same sizing and actually made the clothes the same size.

My niece is the store manager of the Carter's on Glen Cove Road and she said that 6 months is 3-6 months. If it seems like it's a bigger size it's just because they are generous in thier sizing so that they fit baby longer.
