Moms of toddlers
what age did you or will you switch to a twin bed? Right now DS is in a toddler size bed ( with the crib mattress still) he still fits comfortably but feel weird about him still being in a baby bed.

Ryan will be 4 in January and we switched 1-2 months ago. We wanted to be able to get in bed with him to get him out of our bed. He likes his new bed sooo much better. I think the mattress is more comfortable too.

DS has no problems going to bed on his own but the mattress was one of my big concerns those crib mattresses are terrible.

My son was 21.5 months when we switched him from his crib to a twin sized bed.
He would not stay in his crib, kept climbing out and sleeping on the floor most of the time.
I didn't see the need for a toddler bed, so we got a twin.
He's been in it since March and loved it from the minute he got in!

My son went into a twin bed at 2 years old. Maddie went in at about 20 months.
We didn't bother with a toddler bed.

DS is 18 months and I am thinking about putting him into a full bed! I'd like to do it before 2 years

My daughter was just about 2.5 when she came out of the crib and went right into a twin bed. She loves it and so far still doesn't get out of bed unless she yells for us first.
