Sorry guys - snow
Our worst fears could be realized. There is growing concern that there will be a major East Coast snowstorm this weekend. This graphic is a preliminary forecast showing the storm track, and where the worst of the storm will be. Ground zero will probably extend from northern Virginia to southern New England, where the storm could dump up to a foot of snow. The event is still 48 hours away and a lot can change before then. AccuWeather.com will bring you the latest as it is presented. One thing I do know for sure. If I were living back home in Newtown, Connecticut, right now I would be all excited about this one. Fresh information will follow throughout the day, including a detailed snowfall forecast. Stay online with AccuWeather.com.

This stinks! I am flying to St. Louis this weekend and really can't afford to be delayed/stuck on either end.
But "Our worst fears could be realized" made me LOL. It isn't that bad!

I'm so upset We're having a party for my Grandmother's 90th Birthday, she can barely walk as it is and the snow is going to make it horrible for her. I guess that's what happens when you're born in February

A WEAKENING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MOVING THROUGH THE GREAT LAKES
FRIDAY INTO FRIDAY NIGHT WILL PHASE WITH ANOTHER LOW MOVING OUT OF
SOUTHERN TEXAS. THIS SOUTHERN STREAM LOW WILL THEN DEEPEN AS IT
MOVES TO THE SOUTHEAST COAST BY SATURDAY MORNING AND INTO THE MID
ATLANTIC COAST SATURDAY. THE LOW WILL CONTINUE TO INTENSIFY AS IT
MOVES TO OFF THE NEW ENGLAND COAST SUNDAY. PLENTY OF COLD AIR WILL
BE IN PLACE ALONG WITH GULF OF MEXICO AND ATLANTIC MOISTURE TO
GIVE THE POTENTIAL FOR A SIGNIFICANT SNOW EVENT ACROSS THE ENTIRE

It figures!
Our housewarming was scheduled in October, the weekend after all the rain and our basement flooded badly so we postponed for a week. The day after the basement was dry I fell and broke my ankle, postponed indefinitely.
Rescheduled party for this Saturday and JOKINGLY in the evite wrote (and this was 4 weeks ago)..."Beware and get your shovels ready, with our luck there will probably be a blizzard that weekend"
