Warning for all parents....
My daughter was given a notice from her school today, it read as follows:
Dear Parents,
I have received information from a fellow administrator regarding an incident that occurred at a bus stop on the corner of Rhode Island Avenue, and Vermont Avenue on Friday morning. (this is in the N.Selden area of Comsewogue SD)
A white male, with gray hair and beard was seen in a navy blue van parked at the bus stop. He was wearing a baseball cap and holding a pair of gloves. It was reported that he adjusted his mirror to look at the elementary-age children waiting for the bus. In addition, he exited his van three times and stared at the children. The plate number of the van is 22697JN.
I trust that you will take a few minutes to review safety procedures with your children, specifically in regard to strangers. Thank you for your cooperation.

Wow, I wonder if they reported it to the police, since they have the license plate number.

I just spoke with the PD, and the officer i spoke to took down the info, but said he's almost certain the school notified them already of the incident....especially since they disclosed the plate #, and make and model of the vehicle...
don't know how true that is, but i will be calling the school first thing in the a.m. to find out if they in fact did notify the police.
he said, on the off chance that they say they DIDN'T.....to give a call back to the PD and ask for a supervisor.

That officer should have been able to find out for sure if they were notified. I would definetly follow up on that!

i wanted him to, but he said i should call the school first and confirm with them....
either way, i will be following up with the school tomorrow morning, and if need be, will be calling the precinct back as well.

This guy tried to kidnap a girl at walmart while her mom was a few feet from her. He did this after being released from jail for molesting a 1 year old girl (I saw this on CNN today). 
JMO, but I think this guy should be put away for life or castrated! What an sleezeball.
Ladies watch your kids and lets lobby to have stricter laws for these azzholes!!! Each time I see this kind of stuff it infuriates me! OK, vent over.
