Thanks - I own my own business, an S-Corp. I am the sole employee. I am covered on DH's health insurance but it kind of suxs. I was wondering how I could get my own insurance, and what it would run me +/-. Any suggestions? Or ideas where to call? I contacted the SBA in Farmingdale and they sent me a small list but any recommendations or information would be great! Thanks...

I do ins but not health ins. and for a self employed, we offer disability insurance.

I would suggest calling HIP, & Bluecross-Blueshield..what I know off top of my head.

HTH, I know its not much but not entirely my field.

You can definitely get your own health insurance but it can get a bit costly. I think each insurance will have a different rate some more expensive than others depending on the type of coverage you are looking for.
